Nash named Inaugural Recipient of the Ron Conway Economic Empowerment Award

Today, we’re honored to share that we’ve been named the first-ever recipients of the Ron Conway Economic Empowerment award.

This award — created as a collaboration between Airbnb’s Brian Chesky, Michael Seibel of Y Combinator, and Ron Conway of SV Angel — recognizes a Y Combinator company driving economic empowerment and opportunities.

We started Nash last year to solve a simple problem: make local delivery a reality for any business. The pandemic brought an unimaginable surge in demand for local delivery. Many companies couldn't keep up. Some were even forced to shut down.

With the support of Y Combinator, we launched Nash to meet this critical moment. We began connecting underutilized delivery providers to businesses in dire need of a reliable, innovative solution to local delivery.

Nash now has over 200 delivery providers making local delivery possible for businesses across 250 U.S. cities. We echo Brian Chesky’s sentiment that Ron Conway is a guardian angel. Thanks to Ron, Brian, and Michael, we’re positioned to use this generous award and their invaluable mentorship to expand across the globe. Businesses of any size, anywhere, will level the playing field by using smart local delivery to meet consumer demand.

We’re excited not only for Nash’s future, but for the recipients of this honor in the years to come. With this award’s support, they will do great things, change the world, and unlock economic empowerment for people and businesses everywhere.
