Today's consumers expect incredibly fast, reliable, and affordable delivery. Retail, delivery, and transportation giants are starting to meet this demand. Still, businesses of all sizes struggle to keep up because of the complexity and high costs associated with last-mile logistics. This is where our team at Nash comes in. We help make local delivery a reality for nearly any business by democratizing access to high-quality, on-demand delivery.

And today we’re excited to share that we’ve raised $20M in Series A funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, with support from Y Combinator, Kevin Novak’s Rackhouse Venture Capital, 640 Oxford Ventures, and other leaders across the tech and supply chain space. This new capital brings our total funding to $27.8M, as it comes on the heels of our previously unannounced $7.8M seed round that was led by Andreessen Horowitz late last year.

Andrew Chen, General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, shares why the firm chose to double down on its investment in Nash:

“We invested in Nash because their unique model can be broadly applied to literally every vertical. Whether it’s retail, food, or pharma, they’re empowering business and marketplaces to offer or greatly expand their delivery offering without having to build their own fleet. Nash has the team, expertise, and product to become the backbone of all local delivery across the globe, which is why we’re thrilled to have led both their Seed and Series A.”

Yesterday, it was also announced that our team received the inaugural Ron Conway Economic Empowerment Award from Brian Chesky (Airbnb’s co-founder and CEO), Michael Seibel (Y Combinator’s managing director), and Ron Conway (SV Angel’s founder and managing partner).

Our progress so far: 957 cities, 2 countries, and counting

Nash’s local delivery orchestration platform starts by plugging into third-party delivery providers like Uber, and a vast network of hundreds additional partners. Today our network of delivery providers allows us to reach up to 94% of the U.S. population in 957 cities, across all 50 states.

Powered by this network, our platform assesses where potential workflows and routes can be optimized so that businesses finally have affordable local delivery. At Nash, we’ve built a technology stack that’s both customizable and easy to use for any business. Through a single integration, businesses can automate optimal delivery provider selection, track all local deliveries in one place, and keep their customers in the loop.

And we’ve been growing at an incredible pace. Over the past year we’ve averaged 52% month-over-month revenue growth as new retailers, marketplaces, restaurants, caterers, pharmacies, grocers, florists, and more have started relying on our technology to reach their customers on-demand. We build everyday to empower businesses through delivery and believe that creating the best technology and partnerships in this space will enable all types of businesses and entrepreneurs to reach new customers, expand their footprint, and have stronger economic opportunities.

For example, Sharebite, the leading food-ordering platform built for companies to feed employees, uses our platform to power their last-mile logistics capabilities. With Nash, Sharebite is growing their customer base, expanding into new markets and territories, and streamlining their delivery operations.

"Nash has played an integral role in Sharebite's rapid growth helping us expand our delivery operations across the country and maintain our industry leading SLA. We're thrilled to be working with an innovative partner like Nash to help us continue growing."

- Humair Aslam, Head of Growth at Sharebite

With today’s funding, we’re accelerating hiring in engineering, sales, and other key business functions. We plan to grow our current team of 25+ by more than 2-3x by the end of year. We’ll also use the funds to expand to new verticals and markets, including Canada and Europe by the end of 2022.

If you’d like to help build the backbone of supply chain technology to enable business to deliver, check out our careers page, or if you’re a merchant or fleet provider that would like to work with us, send us your info here we’ll get in touch.

We’re just at the beginning of our mission to help companies achieve more through delivery. Thank you for joining us in this journey.
